Hello. I’m new to hay trolley collecting. I have a Ney but just got my hands on this beauty. Other than basic Louden info it’s stamped adjustable across the top “bar” and then 1803 on the left side of the second bar section. There might be other detail I’m missing, it’s fresh with dirt dobbers and bird poop. I literally just pulled this out of the barn today, it needs some cleaning for sure! Here is a pic of both sides. Any one know how old it might be or other info? Thanks!
Bridget

Every thing looks in order on this Louden. It is one of the hardest working and most highly respected of the hay trolleys. Thousands of farmers bet their crops of this working wonder. I look forward to seeing what you do with this. This trolley would have been most likely red out of the factory.
Made in Fairfield, Iowa, things begin for this model at around 1890’s and they are run for a long long time.

Great trolley, as King Harvest said, it was without a doubt, one of the most successful trolley’s ever made! I cut my teeth collecting with Louden Jr’s, great find!
