Anyone have any idea on the mfg date range for this Leader trolley? Might help me ballpark the barn date. I think the number on the trolley is a 29.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]I BELIVE THIS IS THE ORIGINAL LEADER PATENT, SHOWN HERE WITH THE LATCH IN A ROD CHASSIS. PAT DATE WAS 1889. PATENTS RUN 17 YEARS. SO COMMERCIAL LIFE ON ORIGINAL PATENT 1889-1906. MILWAUKEE HAY TOOL SOLD THIS WELL BEYOND 1906, IT WAS ONE OF THEIR WORK HORSE TROLLEY’S. DONT THINK THEY EVER IMPROVED IT. ONE CLUE ON TROLLEY, IF IT HAS THE ORIGINAL PATENT DATE, IT MAY FIT IN THE ORIGINAL PATENT WINDOW. THEY STOPPED PUTTING THERE NAME AND PATENT DATE ON THIS TROLLEY AS THE YEARS WORE ON.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Posted on January 24, 2016 I saw a Kenwood trolley on ebay and see similarities to, Leader, and Boomer trolleys. Is there a connection between the three, and are they all branded from Moline designs?

WE WILL GET TO MILWAUKEE HAY TOOL(MHT) THIS WINTER, BUT IN THE MEAN TIME LEADER & BOOMER WERE MFG BY MHT AND SEARS WAS ONE OF THEIR MAIN SELLERS. THE KENWOOD WAS A LEADER BRANDED FOR SEARS. MOLINE IRON WORKS, I GUESS MASS PRODUCED THE PRODUCT LINE AFTER THE PATENTS RAN OUT. PATENTS ONLY RUN 17 YEARS
