8 wheel, triple reaving porter timber sling carrier. I thought this was unusual so I bought it.

Was there a relationship between Porter and Beaty. I see some similarities between the two Beatty sling carriers I have and this porter.

Yes, whereas the Canadians did have some of their own designs…and some are really excellent….they did have contracts with or represented many of the U.S. makers. There are some “porter like” Beatties that look like this model.
