Posted on January 11, 2016 Well, this is more of a rescue than a restoration. I think I saved this from almost certain destruction. This one was so beat up when I got it. Not being a welder, I had to grind down and attempt to cover up and hide some terrible welds with J.B Weld epoxy. Not calling this a restoration, I decided to take some liberties and make this a tribute to one of America’s great industries; the Caterpillar Company. It does have the lifting arm and the gravity locking mechanism works like a charm. Sadly, I fell asleep at bidding’s end on Ebay, and missed winning the correct cdp. I’ll keep looking.

I probably should have posted this first, but this is the before pic. Unfortunately, I didn’t take a before pic of my own, so I had to use the Craigslist ad I found the trolley on. Live and learn, right?
Now it’s complete, thanks to Smalley for the lead on the pulley! I am forever grateful
